About This Trip

Norway & Denmark
Oslo · Bergen · Fjords · Flåm · Copenhagen

There are landscapes that exist almost outside of scale, and a journey through Norway and Denmark is built entirely around them.

It begins in Oslo: a walk down Karl Johans gate past the Parliament, the National Theatre, and the Royal Palace, on to City Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded each year, and a crossing to Bygdøy Island for a glimpse into Norwegian royal history.

From there, the journey turns toward Bergen by train, with the view from Mount Fløyen offering a first sense of what lies ahead. A day unfolds along the Sognefjord, Norway's longest, with a stop at the Tvindefossen waterfall before a cruise through the Nærøyfjord to Flåm, the Stegastein viewpoint, and the celebrated Flåm Railway.

Another day brings a journey to the Fonna Glacier, where a guided climb at twelve hundred meters above sea level offers a perspective few ever reach. The Hardangerfjord follows, with a walk behind the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall and a crossing to the traditional village of Utne.

Shabbos is spent in Bergen: lavish meals, shiurim from Rav Glatstein, and quiet walks through the city.

The journey closes in Copenhagen, with the elegance of Strøget, the Old Town synagogue, a canal cruise, and a visit to the route that carried the Jews of Denmark to safety during the Holocaust.

A journey through grandeur and grace, fjord and faith, carried from beginning to end.
